The month of April was filled with fun and surprises! For my birthday my dear friend Maria came to visit. I was so excited to have such a special friend visit me but also have her share my special day. We spent most of the visit relaxing at home with the kids, walking to the beach, and a hike. But, for my birthday we took a girls night out! Our adventure began with a trip to the Halekulani. We wanted to visit this beautiful hotel in Waikiki as it is where Maria had honeymooned. After a trip to the hotel reminiscing we walked over to Roy's and ate sushi and cheered the night with champagne. After appetizers we met friends for dinner at the Beachhouse. It is a wonderful restaurant right on the beach at the Moana Surfrider. It was a fabulous dinner spent with friends! Nothing would have made the night better but having Paul home to share it with me.
Also in April we celebrated Easter with a wonderful service at church and a visit from the Easter Bunny. Quaid and Finn searched all over the yard for eggs filled with candy. They also enjoyed baskets full of tasty treats and a few toys. In addition, we celebrated that we were halfway through the deployment and that Daddy will return home to us soon!
